1. When and why did you start singing?
Sara: I started songwriting when I lived in Camooweal QLD. I was about 21 and I wrote my first song called Buffalo Bill about an old buffalo shooter/ drover. That was a wonderful thing to do... And I kept writing songs about my life and experiences.
A talent quest in Adelaide River many years later started the ball rolling. I won the prize for my songwriting and that gave me the chance to meet country music producer Garth Porter who helped me secure a record deal with ABC music.
